My "7 year plan" has been smashed to smithereens. The OU have announced the withdrawal of their Social Science Postgraduate programmes which has put a serious spanner in my works.
Here's what I think about it.
7 years after dropping out of my A-Levels I decided I wanted a degree. For fun though, not for any particular reason. So in 2004 I enrolled on an Open University degree. Well now the bug has bitten and my desire for knowledge has begun to take over me like a vampiritic thirst. This is the tale of my journey through the educational ranks.

Our American Cousins
Over the Crimbo holidays I was delightfully alerted to a tiny snippet of information in a mass email received by my dad. He’s very supportive of my studies and when I told him I was going to be writing for Platform he promised to keep his eyes peeled for relevant things I could write about.
Now, this tiny snippet said:
“Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans.”
