I'm terrible for wanting a piece of all the action, so when I saw that a fellow OU student had begun writing for a new website and that they had vacancies for other writing positions I applied without hesitation or forethought.
That was almost a month ago and I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I received an email this morning offering me a position! So... I soon begin writing for Brew Drinking Thinkings as their travel/culture writer. I'll be writing about cities, their history and their culture so I'll be trying as hard as I can to make it as interesting and compulsive-reading as I can.
Watch this space!
7 years after dropping out of my A-Levels I decided I wanted a degree. For fun though, not for any particular reason. So in 2004 I enrolled on an Open University degree. Well now the bug has bitten and my desire for knowledge has begun to take over me like a vampiritic thirst. This is the tale of my journey through the educational ranks.

Tell me what's your flava.
In a bid to avoid being lazy, here's the links to all the blog posts I've written since the last one I linked to on here, there's a few:
What University means to me
My EMA is due next week and I haven't even started it, eek!
Celebration and worry
What volunteering means to me
What's the difference between studying and riding a bike?
When I was 21...
OUSA Conference and a serious case of the wobblies
Been there, got the t-shirt
My 'March for the Alternative'
More student monitoring? Are tutor babysitters now?
If at first you don't succeed...
Filling the gap with study
Introducing Carrie Anne Walton BSc Open
... on having one of THOSE days
Who inspires me? Well I've known her forever
Here's what's on my bookshelf
OUSA - One big happy family
Phew, told you there was a lot!

My very own blog, with a title and everyfink!
Platform recently relaunched with a brand new image and I was fortunate enough to have my blog transferred over to the new-look site too.
As part of the 'new look' my blog was given it's own title "Carrie On Being A Student". Clever innit, I was right chuffed when Rob came up with that, it made me feel a bit special.
So anyway, the reason I haven't posted on here in such a long time is because everything's on the Platform blog now, scoot over and have a look.
